About Bennett
My favorite part of a film isn’t the sound, it’s the story.
I’m not exactly sure when I found out I wanted to do sound for film, but it was somewhere in between watching movies at home with my Dad and creating music with field recordings.
When I collaborate on projects, I use sound as a means to transport the listener to an environment that supports storytelling. When image and sound are in absolute harmony, it’s the best feeling in the world.
My focus is on sound effects editing, but I’ve enjoyed wearing a variety of hats in the post-production world including: ADR/Foley engineer, foley artist, dialogue editor, sound designer, and re-recording mixer.
In my spare time, I find myself spiraling down IMDB and Wikipedia rabbit holes, following production credits on albums or seeing what project a cinematographer is working on next. The unsung heroes are always as interesting to me as the final product. To get away from the screens on the weekends, I bike around town and play pool with my friends.
